Gulfstream acquired the G200 product line in 2001 and has since made considerable modifications and improvements, both internally and externally. The result was a hugely popular aircraft, the first of what is known as the “next generation” of super-midsize business jets. It also had a shipping reliability of 99.75% between 2001 and 2011, during which time more than 150 examples were delivered. The G200’s luxurious interior matches the size of the Challenger 300, dwarfing the Falcon 50 and Citation X and, unlike the Challenger 300, does not sacrifice speed for cabin space. Not only is the G200 fast, but it also offers better range than its competitors, capable of taking on trips as long as Geneva to Dubai.
